Optimizing Clinical and Administrative Efficiency

Too often, EHR companies come in with an expectation for new users to become experts in their system within a short period of time. The reality is, this is not possible due to the day-to-day responsibilities of healthcare providers and staff, and they end up prioritizing their learning to master the basics that are needed to keep operations running smoothly.  As a result, providers and staff end up struggling to understand how best to use the medical products offered and instead of aiding patients, they create more difficulties along the way.  This is where T.R.C. Partnership Services can help.

By utilizing TRC’s Clinical support services, healthcare providers can maximize their clinical and revenue cycle performance. Our clinical and documentation audits provide detailed information to help you identify areas for improvement, while our comprehensive training helps ensure that processes are running smoothly and efficiently. We also offer tailored solutions to help you maximize compliance with revenue cycle activities. With TRC’s support services, you can be sure that your hospital is operating at its optimum performance.

Clinical /documentation audit/support to align goals with revenue cycle with Provider satisfaction in mind.

Our team focuses on aligning healthcare goals with revenue cycles, ensuring efficient billing practices without compromising provider satisfaction. Clinical documentation auditing is an important part of this, but it can be time-consuming and difficult for providers to manage.  With TRC's help, providers can ensure that their clinical documentation is accurate and up to date, leading to better financial outcomes.

We use our in-depth analysis of current documentation practices to identify areas that need improvement. Then we customize our tailored solutions, so they meet your facility's specific financial and organizational needs. Our methods enable an accurate understanding of cases, ensuring mastery over claim denials, compliance risks and inefficiencies. The audits can also provide insight into staff performance, patient utilization patterns, coding accuracy and claims management techniques used by providers.

Provider and nursing superuser training, not only on end-user documentation, but also on the back-end configuration. They become highly skilled and are vital asset in maintaining accuracy and productivity.

Training provider and nursing superusers to optimize clinical and administrative processes can have a profound impact on the efficiency of patient care in your organization. With their deep knowledge and specialized skills, superusers can streamline workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, allowing clinicians and administrators alike to focus more effectively on the needs of their patients. Training providers and nurses as superusers makes it easy for them to take ownership of the systems they use to provide the best care possible. With optimized efficiency, improved communication, and increased confidence in the technology being used, everyone involved in patient care wins.

Workflow Review and Optimization. Working with you, we want to make sure that the bridge between the clinical care that’s being provided and the workflows that are being implemented all ties into the revenue that’s being generated.

Streamlining workflows can reduce errors, improve patient access and satisfaction, and save time and money. But implementing workflow changes is difficult, labor-intensive, and complicated. Our team of experts can help you analyze your current processes and develop an optimized solution tailored to your unique needs. We will evaluate operational bottlenecks, identify areas for process improvement, and design solutions that will increase productivity and enhance the quality of care delivered.

Clinical documentation improvements specific to revenue cycle needs

Poor clinical documentation can be a major drain on your healthcare organization’s bottom line. It leads to delays in payments and reimbursements, claim denials, and the need for re-work or manual corrections. By optimizing clinical documentation, you can improve accuracy and efficiency throughout the entire revenue cycle process. This can help reduce turnaround time and drive improved financial results through better accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.  Our team can track and analyze your documentation performance and make real-time improvements that lead to better patient care, improved reimbursements, increased collections, and a healthier bottom line.

Clinicians and administrators are increasingly relying on accurate reports to make decisions. Clinical Reporting Training/Support can help optimize your clinical and administrative efficiency by providing comprehensive guidance and support in the areas of data collection, analysis, and report generation. Our team of experts will work with you to customize a program that addresses your specific needs. Clinical Services - Old content

To our team at The Revenue Cycle, our Clinical Services are all about improving and assuring excellent patient care. To us, the focus of everything that is in a medical examination room, including use of the EHR must be focused totally on the patient. From the beginning, our mission has been to do everything we can to help generate a positive, proactive patient experience that leads to better outcomes.

As one of the leaders in Revenue Cycle Management, we’ve generated innovations over the years that nurses, and clinicians can use that can facilitate more efficient hospital systems and improved care like more sophisticated and technologically advanced EHR systems. Some of these, like our innovative TRC+ Dashboard, are new technological tools that often integrate with other hospitals systems for best care practices.

At TRC, we’ve found that some of the technologically advanced systems are introduced by overly enthusiastic companies (and people) who believe hospital staff can absorb the vast depth of information that is inherent in their EHR platform. This is a bit ambitious like trying to absorb a lake with a sponge. Everything a hospital employee is introduced to is through the eyes of an expert and the expert often forgets they’re dealing with someone brand new to EHR.

EHR understanding can’t be mastered in a day or a week or two. Because individuals can’t grasp the full scope of its capabilities at first, second or third glance, trainees tend to focus on what they need from the system, rather than what would be good or great to know to increase their personal efficiency. There are, for example, many components of the EHR that are beneficial to maximizing efficiencies for various workflows, but these are not usually deemed as “must haves” so they’re left out of the training. This is ultimately detrimental to the efficient running of the hospital, all the way down to its negative impact on patient care.

When TRC gets involved, however, we work with the staff to, first, understand where their frustrations lie, and second, to try to eliminate those frustrations by focusing on the applicate areas of the EHR that can offer quick, relevant, and targeted solutions. At the end of the day, the value of the EHR has to be measured in terms of what will help treatment of the patient most while easing the technology burden on physicians and other providers to be EHR wizards.

Understanding Clinical Workflows - Old content

Some hospitals do not understand the impact maximizing clinical workflows has on the business of running a healthy facility. It’s important to grasp the fact that clinical workflow does not mean care. In the world of good RCM, we are talking about how clinical services are being documented, which is categorically tied to whether medical service is covered by insurance. One common problem hospitals face is a medical necessity denial that is usually the result of a wrong diagnosis code. Knowing the right codes to document and to be confident in what you’re documenting is critically important and what partnering with TRC excels at fostering.

We work to address weaknesses in the RCM process and look to where communication and cooperation often lack between the financial and clinical sides of the hospital. The billing and revenue cycle side are not only siloed, but rarely even communicate. TRC works to close that divide and create one uniform patten of workflow and process from the moment at patient checks in, and the documentation that’s generated, to give the vest best and totally accurate information to doctors, nurses, and providers.

Bringing the clinical and financials sides of the hospital world together takes skill, tack and knowhow.  Creating and welding a bond between these two vital components of how a hospital ticks is what we do best WITH YOU. Let’s work together to create the heart and soul of sound financial practices and patient health.
